SAMBA: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh inspected pace of progress on various development projects of power and urban development sectors, here today. The Dy CM inspected work sites and reviewed the implementation of ‘Restructured Accelerated Power Development Reforms’ (RAPDRP) in a meeting with executing agencies.
On assurance by officials that the proposed plan shall be completed by June, the Dy CM directed Xen PDD to frame a timeline and regularly monitor the pace of plan execution. He also inspected the up gradation work of PDD control room Samba which shall be augmented to 11.3 MVA and directed for fast tracking of the project. He informed that government is continuously working towards improving the power scenario in the state. He was accompanied by MLA Samba Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, ADDC Vivek Sharma and other senior officials.
Later, the Dy CM also visited Birpur Housing Colony which is being developed by the Jammu Development Authority. He was accompanied by Vice Chairman JDA, Mubarak Singh and SSP Samba Anil Magotra. VC JDA informed about the layout of the colony which shall have parks, schools, commercial complexes and other amenities as per planning norms. He also informed that out of 692 plots, lease deeds have been executed for 540, while 480 plots have been handed over and 152 files are in process.
The Dy CM called for fast tracking clearance of administrative and legal issues if any in completing the development of colony. He also asked officials to frame plans keeping the vital aspect of environment and sustainable development in consideration.
