Durga Nagar Welfare Committee’s concern over stopping of matador service

JAMMU, May 1: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee president Roshan Lal Raina today criticized the authorities for stopping 15 year old matador service to the area.
In a statement issued here, he said people of the area are facing lot of difficulty to visit the main road for boarding a matador and the problem will compound as Summer advances.
Mr Lal warned that in case the decision will not be revoked and the matador service resumed in the area the people will be forced to come to streets.
He in an appeal to Transport Minister has sought his personnel intervention in the matter. He said school going children have been put to hardships after the stopping of matador service. Meanwhile Displaced  Kashmiri United Front (DKUF) has also assured full support to Welfare Committee in its struggle in case the matador service was not restored in the area. The Front chairman D N Kissu has issued warning to the Government in this regard.
