JAMMU, Dec 23: A meeting of Welfare Committee, Sector-Two ,Durga Nagar and its extension was held under the presidentship of Sanjay Ganjoo today.
The meeting said Sector-Two has been ignored in all respects and should get its due share in development. It was decided concerned Departments including Municipality, R&B, PHE, PDD and Election Commission will be again approached in this regard.
Meeting showed concern over water crises and long gap of four to five days in water supply.
Electric poles for two new transformers have been installed and within few days these transformers will be made functional which will be big relief to the residents of the locality as it was becoming very difficult in Summer to cater the overload.
It demanded upgradation of 250 KVA to 450 KVA near Shriya Bhatt Hospital.
The issue of dog menace in the area was also discussed which has made the life of residents hell. The increasing dog menace has scared the children, old age persons and other people of locality.
The meeting was attended by Mahraj Krishan Raina, Naresh Pandit, Lal Ji Chrungoo, Durga Nath Kaul, Vesh Nath Raina, Shadi Lal Kaul, Mahraj Krishan Zutshi, Avtar Krishan Pandita, Sunil Saraf, Sanjay Kaul, Kuldeep Raina and Aviral Ganjoo.
