JAMMU, Aug 19: A joint delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committees (DNWCs) headed by Roshan Lal Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo president of Sector1 and 2 respectively and Maharaj Krishan Razdan president Dogra Nagar discussed the problems of area with various officers.
They discussed the water supply problem with the Executive Engineer, City Division, Jal Shakti and informed him that the that water supply gap is prolonging day by day. They asked him to ensure the water supply alternately so that people may not face difficulties and wait for the long days which is quite injustice. They also urged him to have one spot visit to Muthi Gaoun Feeder No.9 and OHT Durga Nagar immediately so that the essential service problem is resolved.
The Executive Engineer ensured the Committee presidents that drilling of tube well work for Durga Nagar shall be started very soon on priority basis. The delegation discussed the street lights issue with Executive Engineer PDD, Jammu Municipal Corporation and said that lights of many electric poles are damaged and need immediate replacement.
The issue was discussed with Municipality Commissioner ( JMC ) and Corporate of the Ward 64 Kapil Singh Chib that repair the electric lights be made immediately so that people may not suffer. The delegation later discussed the construction of roads with Executive Engineer R&B Jammu who informed that work of widening of roads will be started when the Monsoon is over. Later the Welfare Committee held a meeting and discussed the issues threadbare. The meeting said that the committees will leave no stone unturned for the solution of problems of the area.
