Durga Nagar residents delegation meets Director FCS&CA

JAMMU, Nov 11: A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) here, today and expressed concern that due to the failure of the department in issuing the ration cards for the migrant employees and pensioners they are facing problems in purchasing the ration on cash payment from Government ration deports.
The delegation informed the Director FCS&CA that the migrants are facing problems as they have to purchase the ration from market on exorbitant rates. It also demanded release of sugar quota for migrants.
The Director FCS&CA issued directives to concerned officers of the department to issue the rice and flour to migrants without any delay. He assured the delegation that the sugar quota will be issued within week.
The Welfare Committee meanwhile appealed the Lt Governor to settle the problems of the migrants sitting on dharna at Jagti.
The other members of the delegation included Bihari Lal, R L Koul, and Badri Nath.
