DODA, Aug 22: Durable and sustainable assets have been created in the region to provide effective and speedy services  to the masses, said Minister for PWD (R&B) and Mechanical Engineering Abdul Majid Wani while addressing public gatherings today in Mangota, Prabal, Bhargran, Hambal and Khellani.
Minister said that coalition Government initiated the task to provide effective and speedy services to the people by creating durable and sustainable assets like roads, electrical connections, water supply schemes, construction of school buildings, medicare institutions etc.
He said focused and concrete steps were taken and infrastructure development projects were constructed and considerable achievement has been made in every sector.
He also revealed that 2nd phase of RGGVY scheme has been sanctioned and soon all the left out un-electrified habitations will be electrified . He also said that those areas which don’t have drinking water supply will be provided adequate pipes so that sources are tapped and drinking water is supplied to them.
Mr. Wani also congratulated the people of the areas as the much awaited 15 Km Bhargran- Behota PMGSY road which was started on May  2, 2013 is nearing completion and a huge population living in the area will get the road connectivity and help to raise their living conditions.
Mr. Wani also revealed that upgradation and improvement of link  roads is being carried out across the region to provide best road connectivity to the masses which help in speedy delivery of essential services and to and fro movement of transport.
Minister also directed Tehsildar Marmat to conduct  enquiry over the water supply scheme, as few people alleged that they were  left out by the concerned department from the water supply scheme without any reason.
Minister also addressed the grievances of the people in the public meetings and directed the officers to take necessary steps to mitigate them in shortest possible time. He also directed the officers to make coordinated and collective efforts so that essential services and supplies reach  out to the poor people of the area in a hassle free manner.
Earlier Minister inspected the pace of construction works going on different roads in the area and directed the concerned executing agencies to ensure that the works get completed within the stipulated time.
Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Doda Mr. Madan Lal, Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Doda, Executive Engineer PHE Division Doda, BDO Marmat, Tehsildar Marmat and ZEO Assar, besides other officers also accompanied the Minister.
