Dummy admissions

Sir,
It is a known fact that the schools as well as coaching centers are adopting discriminatory attitude in imparting education to its students. Schools in the state have adopted two types of admissions since last few years, regular and dummy. For adopting the dummy option the students have to shell out almost double the annual charges paid by the regulars. The dummy students mostly fall in the category of “A+ and “A” grade students belonging to the effluent class of society who can afford  extra amount over and above the already exorbitant  charges which are being charged by both schools and coaching centers. There are no doubt  some advantages in dummy admission as the teachers in schools do not give proper attention towards their students and going to schools looks simply waste of time. Add to this is the saving of time in transportation and its huge charges.  Imparting education by schools has taken a back seat these days which has resulted in the upcoming of  coaching centers in the state.
These coaching centers have a faculty who claim to be IIT pass outs (which either they know or their God only knows ) as there is no check by Education Department of the state or any authorized licensing agency for such coaching centers who earn crores of rupees every year. In view of the exorbitant charges (almost a lac per student per year) it is beyond the reach of even the middle class families to seek admission for their wards in such centers but if their ward falls in the category of 70 percent and above range they also wish their wards to get proper coaching so that they also make to IIT’s or better institutes of the country and therefore invest all their savings and earnings on them in expectation of the results promised by these coaching centers.
The coaching centers have their own formula; they are interested in promotion of their business.   Being well aware about the ability  of their students  they will pass with their own efforts whether or not the faculty cares for them . So their primary objective of getting 100 percent result is achieved on the day one, the next issue is to grab as many possible ranks in the board results and subsequent admission in IIT’s. For this they fully concentrate on dummy students who are falling in the category of “A+ or “A” grade . Other students are ignored even though they deserve the same attention and pay the same charges. This way they are cheating not only the students but also their parents and the society at large..
The schools need to be responsive in imparting education to students and  should be made accountable for their performance.
System of “Dummy” admissions should be totally banned as this is a big blot on education system of the state.
Fee structure of the schools should be rationalized and only trained faculties provided in all schools.
Curricular activities and games should form an active part of knowledge to students.
Yours etc…
