Sir,
It has reference to the article “The dangers of an Ex-RAW Chiefs’ tell all” by Omar Abdullah published in this paper on July 8, 2015.
The write-up is in relation to A S Dulat’s revelations as curtain raiser for his book “Kashmir-Vajpayee Years’. To me, Omar Abdullah’s writing is based on logic and reason. For long, junior Abdullah through his tweets, statements and speeches had been poking his nose in every issue and finding an RSS-BJP angle in every aspect. But this write-up is valid in national perspective.
Spy agencies all over the world remain engaged with such organisations and individuals not within their borders but even beyond them, aimed at serving nationalistic purpose. Back channel communications are being maintained by these agencies through their sources to achieve a break through. Even payoffs and other concessions are offered. Common man knows how the sparatiste leaders, terrorists and even mainstreams are making their fortune out of Kashmir mess. It is failure of our agencies not to achieve desired success despite investments.
But if the likes of Dulat, who are engaged in secret missions, speak out about such things to make their fortunes, the institution of “Spying” loses its relevance. It is said that you can befool some people for all the time and all the people for some time but not all the people for all the times. People are getting exposed themselves but the people who are engaged in spying missions shall be committed to secrecy.
Yours etc….
