DSSP reiterates its demand of separate Jammu state

JAMMU, Aug 5: Reiterating its demand of separate Jammu State, Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Party (DSSP), led by former Minister and MP, Choudhary Lal Singh invited the civil society members, intellectuals, NGOs, Academicians, youth leaders, religious organizations and prominent traders and industrialists of Jammu region to participate in a seminar being organised in Jammu tomorrow on the subject.

Talking to media persons here today, Ch Lal Singh said that one day Seminar on the topic, ” Jammu in the present context and the way forward’ is being held at Ritz Hotel on Sunday (Aug 6) at 10.30 am and will be held in two sessions till 2 pm. Many prominent social and political leaders besides educationists, former judges and prominent lawyers are participating in the seminar.
Speaking further, the former MP regretted that resources of the J&K, and specially Jammu region, are being looted by the people from outside. The people of Jammu are being robbed of their lands. The jobs meant for the local youth are being snatched. The people behind this all type of excesses have been totally exposed. They always exploited the people of Jammu region and used them as their vote bank. The people here are now feeling deceived and cheated.
DSSP leader said that his party has launched mass awareness campaign in the region to create awareness among the people against the political conspiracy against Jammu, both pre-abrogation of Art 370 and precarious situation emerging post -370.
Singh said the people of Jammu region who earlier remained subservient to Kashmiri leadership, are now being subjected to other form of sufferings by the uncontrollable influx of the people from all across the country causing irreparable damage to our resources. It has created sense of insecurity among the general masses, thereby posing grave threat to our posterity for its survival as well as to our cultural identity, Lal Singh cautioned.
