KATHUA, May 5: Continuing its fight against the discrimination of Jammu, Ch Lal Singh (Ex-MP) exuded confidence that DSSP is fully prepared to take on all parties those have discriminated against the Jammu province in the coming Assembly elections and will form its own Government.
Addressing a gathering of the office bearers and party workers at Kathua today, Ch Lal Singh said that the present elections of Parliament is being fought on the marketing basis and not on the basis of performance. Its only DSSP which fought the election on the basis of a vision but a nexus of four former CMs and a team from Delhi led by PM resorted to all unfair means to keep the voice of Dogras unheard. But, people have realized now and will give a befitting reply to these forces in the coming elections.
Lal Singh further said that people of Jammu have been always treated second class citizens because of the Kashmiri dominance and the only solution to the present crisis of the State is to redesign it with Jammu as separate state and Ladakh as UT with Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Banihal and Poonch, Rajouri as separate Divisions of Jammu state. He said that the only way to maintain our age old heritage and to preserve unity in diversity is by identifying our self with our larger identity of Dogras.
“When we are Dogras, it brings all faith and religions including Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Bodh, Jains all together and make our province more stronger. Our unity will be a befitting reply to the political parties inimical to our brotherhood,” he remarked.
Lal Singh said it is unfortunate that people of this region who always stood by the nation, suffered because of their nationalism which is evident from the fact that New Delhi sacrificed the interest of the people of Jammu at the cost of Kashmir. Why the people of Jammu who have given massive mandate for the popular government, should face the Presidential rule, he remarked.
Kanta Andotra, Ex-MLA along with senior women leaders welcomed a prominent Astrologer Anita Ghai, who joined DSSP along with her supporters. Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, general secretary expressed gratitude to the party workers for their hard work and contribution in the parliament election.
