DSS to wage decisive battle for Dogra pride: Lal Singh

KATHUA, Jan 6: State president of Dogra Swabhiman Sangthan (DSS) and former MP, Ch Lal Singh today said that DSS is up in arms to wage a decisive battle for Dogra pride in the State.
Addressing monthly meeting of the members of DSS and others at Kathua, Ch Lal Singh called upon all Dogras to understand the apathy of successive Governments both from the State and the Center who always treated the people of Jammu as a commodity and never bothered about the legitimate issues of Jammu and ignored the aspirations of Dogras.
Lal Singh further said that youths from Jammu region are the worst victims of the apathy of Govt who are facing unemployment and it is the result that youth today is running out of Jammu with a begging bowl in different states or abroad for the livelihood. It is the failure of the Govt that our region which is full of resources in the form of water, minerals, clay, sapphire etc. is devoid of basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, health and education.
Former minister reminded the people that it is the deep rooted conspiracy that the successive Governments gave maximum wine shops in Jammu region only to weaken the brave community of Dogras and appealed them to come out of this nexus and take a stand for the future of Jammu.
Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, general secretary, said that it is the high time for the people of Jammu to understand their worth and decide once for all for the future of Jammu and support the vision of Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan.
The meeting was aimed to constitute the block committees of DSS in which all Panchs and Sarpanchs and general public of the nine blocks of Kathua, including Keediya Gandiyal, Block Kathua, Nagri Parole, Barnoti, Mareen, Hiranagar, Dinga Amb, Rajpura, Ghagwal participated. All the newly constituted committees pledged to fight for the cause of Dogras.
Adv BS Jamwal and Adv Vikrant Sharma assured all legal services to the genuine and deserving people free of cost who are fighting for the cause of Jammu. Sarpanch Bholi Singh, Sarpanch Baagmal, Mohan Singh and Parshotam Singh also spoke on the occasion.
