DSS to organize ‘Save the Birds Day’ prog

JAMMU, Apr 30: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) is organizing “Save the Birds Day” programme on May 4 at Dogra Hall.
This was disclosed by Dr Neil Kanth Dogra, senior vice president, Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) during a press conference here today.
He said that the programme will be flagged off by President of the Sabha, Gulchain Singh Charak.
In the programme, large numbers of people including Sarpanchs, Panchs, Numberdars and chowkidars will participate. Besides students from various educational institutions are also going to take part, he added.
It is a campaign towards saving the birds in which Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) will distribute earthen pots to school and college students, villagers and members of the civil society.
He said that the Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) will provide them earthen pots to be installed at different places filled with water for the birds. The pots will also be provided to various other organizations for the same purpose, he added.
He appealed to the students in particular and public in general to join them in this endeavour of saving the birds by spreading this noble message and putting the same into actions as well.
Among others present were Prem Sagar Gupta, general secretary and Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Incharge, Youth Wing.
