DSS draws thrust lines on poll eve

JAMMU, Mar 17: Dogra Sadar Sabha’s Political Affairs Committee has drawn thrust lines as the elections are drawing nearer in the State and also resolved to go to the public with these issues seeking their opinion and support , if the DSS goes for contesting elections.
Keeping with the sentiments of general public and Dogras in particular, the members strongly voiced that for the last several years no political party or political leader of Jammu has ever bothered to project or even support the burning issues of Jammu province. Many so called politicians of various political affiliations have been deaf and dumb towards these serious problems. Taking serious note of it, the DSS has formed its Political Affairs Committee to jump in the political field in the forthcoming elections. The Political Affairs Committee of the Sabha has decided to go to the voters with all these vital issues and expose the self centred politicians. Committee members will tour through the whole province and organize the meetings at district level and will field its own candidates in the elections, if needed.
The committee members prioritized their action plan to design its agenda which include- preservation of age old communal harmony and brotherhood amongst the Dogras irrespective of caste and creed in view of the emerging threats by the anti- national elements backed by inimical forces, maintenance and preservation of Dogra Heritage Centers, old forts, outstanding issues of refugees of 1947, 65, 71 and early completion of new projects like Tawi Lake, Tawi Front, Gandola Project and so on.
There were many more points relating to the rampant corruption, discrimination, nepotism, unequal distribution of funds, job/ education opportunities and many schemes offered by the Central Govt.
The meeting was attended by Prof NK Dogra, Col Karan Singh, Prem Sagar Gupta, Col Virendra Sahi, Brig MS Jamwal, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Hakumat Singh, GA Khwaja, Krishan Kumar and Amanat Ali Shah.
