JAMMU, Oct 1: Director School Education Jammu, Smita Sethi, along with Chief Education Officer Jammu, J K Sudan, visited various educational institutions and teacher training centres at Domana, Akhnoor and Jourian.
During the visit, on spot directions were given for smooth functioning and revamping the education setup for fulfilling the aspirations of the students and parents.
The Director told the trainers as well as the trainers that the refresher courses were meant to develop problem solving abilities and improve ability to handle mental imagery and better expression. She explained that the education is not restricted within the four walls of class room and hence in the pursuit of excellence and making the children learn, co-curricular activities like seminars, debates, tug of war etc should be promoted to enhance the cognitive aspect of students.
