JAMMU, Sept 20: Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma assured to provide Commerce subject at Govt Higher Secondary School Latti and also fill up vacant posts of teaching staff in local HSS and in various other schools in remote Dudu Sub Division of district Udhampur.
The assurance was given by the Director to the Chairman, Latti Development Committee and Sarpanch, Latti, Kasturi Lal Gupta when he took up the issue regarding huge shortage of teaching staff in various schools of Latti and Dudu area here today. He said that due to shortage of teachers and lecturers, the students of this remotest area of Udhampur district are suffering badly.
He further demanded Commerce subject at GHSS Latti and posting of staff at the upgraded Govt Middle School at Kirchi, besides Marothi, Pattangarh and other schools in the Sub Division without any delay. He said the Labs are yet to establish at the upgraded schools. DSE assured the deputation to provide Commerce Lecturer and other staff at the schools of this remote belt.
