NEW DELHI, Nov 23: Dry ginger and kalauji prices rose up to Rs 500 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Fall in supplies from producing belts also supported the upside in prices.
Dry ginger and kalaunji prices rose up to Rs 500 to conclude at Rs 21,000-22,500 and Rs 8,500-9,800 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up dry ginger and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
The following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,000-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 540-690, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 900-980 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,100-1,200.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 690-790, cardamom (colour robin) 630-730, cardamom bold 680-730, cardamom extra (bold) 830-930 and cloves (kg) 855-935. (PTI)
