Drugs trafficker arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 29: Bishnah police along with sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) arrested a drugs trafficker along with heroin worth several thousands.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station along with sleuths of DSB signaled a scooty bearing registration number JK02BF-4813 to stop for checking.
During checking, police recovered 12 grams of heroin, one syringe and a weighting machine from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ghara Ram, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Kotli Charka, Tehsil Bishnah. With his arrest, police achieved a major success to save the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 233/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh and assisted by ASI Parshotam Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Chowdhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
