JAMMU, Feb 11: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Unit Jammu arrested a drugs trafficker along with 15 kilograms of cannabis.
As per official spokesman, on specific information, the sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau, Zonal Unit Jammu intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK05D-5678 near Rajiv Nagar.
During checking, the sleuths recovered 15 kilograms of cannabis from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Ahad Ganie, a resident of Kashmir.
It has been revealed by the arrested person that the origin of the drug was Kashmir valley and it was destined to Delhi.
The arrested person was produced in the court and further lodged in the District Jail Jammu for judicial custody.
The whole operation was launched under the supervision of KP Tiwari, Superintendent in which other officers of the unit viz Deepak Kumar, Intelligence Officer, Koushal Kumar, IO, Romesh Kumar, OTC, Havaldar and driver have participated.
