KATRA, Dec 22: The police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 500 gms poppy straw and 30 gms of charas from his possession today.
Police sources said that acting on a specific information, a police party led by SHO Katra, Kuldip Krishan under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal laid a naka at Varun Chowk, Katra and trapped one Subash Chander, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Counter 2 Katra and recovered 500 gms bukki and 30 gms high quality charas from his possession. The accused was running a shop at counter 2 Katra. A case has been registered against him.
Meanwhile, Bhawan Police led by SHO Rajesh Sharma also arrested one Sourab Fotra, son of Ravi Dass, resident of Nagri Parole in Kathua today. He was wanted in a theft case by police.
