Srinagar, Jan 21: Police today said to have arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
On a specific input, police said, a Police Party from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at a specific location in village Naina Batapora area of Pulwama.
“During search 13Kgs of Poppy Straw was recovered from the residential house of Tanveer Ahamd Bhat son of Gh Mohd Bhat resident of Naina Batapora. The accused person has been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 06/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Litter and an investigation set into motion.
