JAMMU, Nov 29: Akhnoor police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered 140 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor police station nabbed a drug peddler from Nirdosh Chowh and recovered 140 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Vivek Kumar alias Sunny, son of Satish Kumar of Ward Number 08, Tehsil Akhnoor.
A case under FIR Number 172/16 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at police station Akhnoor and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Gurvinder Pal Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
