Drug peddler held with psychotropic substance

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Police today said to have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
“A police party of Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Baramulla Sajjad Bukhari established a checkpoint at Farooqi point and intercepted a suspicious person identified as Iftikhar Ahmad Malik son of Saif-ud-Din Malik resident of Achabal Sopore,” police sources said.
They said during the search, officers were able to recover 456 tablets of the banned drug (Spasmoproxyvon Plus) from his possession, following which he was arrested and shifted to Police Station.
A case under the relevant section of law was registered in this connection at Police Station Baramulla and further investigation started.
