JAMMU, Mar 15: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area Wednesday claimed that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered from his possession 14 grams of heroin-like-substance.
A police spokesperson said that Pawan Kumar alias Deepu of Chatha Por Camp, Ward Number 2, Jammu, was arrested at Deoli area by a team of Police Station Bishnah headed by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikram Sharma under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 64/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and a bike he was riding on has also been seized,” said the police spokesperson, adding that further investigations are on.
