JAMMU, June 8: A drug peddler was arrested with 3 grams of heroin from Bishnah area here today, police said.
They said a surprise naka was established at Mehmoodpur, Bishnah.
“During naka checking, one person, who was coming from Kunjwani and going towards Bishnah side, was stopped for checking. During his search, 3 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from his possession,” police said.
The accused drug peddler identified as Sohail of Gadigarh, Jammu, has been booked in case FIR number 136/2023 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Bishnah Police Station and further investigation taken up.
The entire operation was carried out by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna and assisted by SHO Bishnah Vikram Sharma under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
