JAMMU, Mar 28: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler from Bishnah area here and recovered 4.25 grams of heroin-like-substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that Hanief Ali of Chak Waziroo, Bishnah, was arrested from Deoli area of Bishnah, where police had set up a surprise naka.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 74/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up,” he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Singh, assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Vikram Sharma under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli.
