RAJOURI, July 1: Continuing the drive against drug abuse, District Police Rajouri arrested a notorious drug-peddlers and recovered 20 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police spokesman said that during routine checking and frisking at Phalyana near Sabzi Mandi, a police team led by SHO Rajouri Inspector Shoket Hussain under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Mudassir Hussain arrested one person namely, Zahoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Prori Gujjran and recovered 20 gms of heroin from his possession.
On this an FIR No. 309/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation has been started to unearth forward and backward linkages.
