Drug peddler held with heroin

JAMMU, July 25: The sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) along with cops from Bahu Fort Police Station arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, the sleuths of DSB along with cops from Bahu Fort Police Station laid a naka near Railway Station here and intercepted a person, who was moving under mysterious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 10 grams of heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Zewal Haq, son of Gulab Nabi Mir, a resident of Kangan, District Ganderbal.
A case under FIR Number 2001/8 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
