POONCH, Jan 28: Continuing its drive against narcotics smugglers police in Poonch’s Mendhar area arrested a peddler alongwith narcotics.
Police said that on a check point laid by police team of PP Ari led by IC PP Ari, PSI Sunil Sharma, cop intercepted a suspect.
On his search, 20 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Zaheer Ahmed alias Pitti, son of Mir Mohd, resident of Gohlad Mendhar.
A case in FIR 13/2022 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Mendhar.
The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra.
