JAMMU, Nov 9: Kanachak police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 450 grams of Ganja from his possession.
“During patrolling duty at Jhiri Mela in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak, a police team led by SHO Kanachak Inspector Rahul Mahajan rounded up one suspect namely Salita son of Jabar Singh, resident of Palinda, Jhansi (UP),” a police spokesman said.
He said during search, 450 grams of Ganja was recovered from the accused. “In this regard, a case FIR Number 136/2022 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kanachak and the accused was arrested,” the spokesman added.
Further investigation of the case is going on, he further added.
