SAMBA, Sept 27: Vijaypur police arrested one drug peddler and recovered 180 grms of Charas from his possession.
A police party of P/S Vijaypur headed by SHO, Inspector, Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur, Baljeet Singh during surprise naka checking near Swankha Morh ,Vijaypur intercepted a scooty bearing Registration Number JK21E-9854.
During checking of the scooty 180 grams of charas wrapped in seven Challis were found which were concealed inside the scooty. The rider of the scooty namely Bittu Ram, S/O Bhagat Ram, R/O Swankha Morh was arrested on the spot and the contraband substance was also seized.
In this connection case FIR No. 148/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started.
