JAMMU, Jan 14: A drug peddler was arrested with 23.59 grams of heroin-like-substance from 4th Tawi Bridge area here.
Zuez Farooq of Khrew, Pulwama, Kashmir, was arrested with the consignment by a party of Police Post Canal Road headed by ASI Surinder Singh while performing patrolling duty near 4th Tawi Bridge, a police official said.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 08/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nowabad and further investigation taken up, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made under the supervision of PSI Darshan Singh, SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Pathania, DySP Headquarters Ashok Kumar and SP City North Vivek Shekhar.
