KATRA, Apr 17: Police arrested a drug peddler at Kakryal Road near Railway Station Katra and recovered 17 grams of heroin from his possession.
The accused, identified as Shubham Kumar, son of Late Om Prakash, resident of Panthal, Katra, was intercepted during routine checking and frisking by Katra Police at Kakryal Road.
Upon search, the police recovered 17 grams of heroin from his possession. The accused was immediately arrested on the spot, and the contraband was seized.
In this connection, FIR No. 111/2026 has been registered at Police Station Katra under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act. The operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Katra, Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, with close oversight from SDPO Katra, Dr Bhishm Dubey.
