POONCH, Jan 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police in this district claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered from his possession 30 grams of Charas-like-substance.
A police spokesperson said that Khurshid Ahmed, 23, of Sawjian, Poonch was arrested after a consignment was recovered from his possession during a routine checking at Saiklu, Mandi.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR 04/2023 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Mandi,” he said.
Further investigations have been taken up, he added.
