Drug peddler held

Srinagar, Mar 11: Police today said it has arrested a drug peddler in Monghal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police spokesman said acting on an information, police laid a checkpoint at Monghal and during the checking, one person identified as Sajad Ahmad Dar was intercepted. “On checking 20 bottles of codeine phosphate and 550 tablets were recovered from his possession,” he said.
The spokesman said a case under FIR number 30/17 under section 8/21, 22 NDPS was registered against him and investigation was taken up.
