JAMMU, Feb 10: Nowabad police arrested a drug peddler and recovered large quantity of intoxicant capsules.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nowabad led by ASI Mohinder Kumar under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Jasrotia laid a naka near Bhagwati Nagar Chowk and intercepted a person, who was roaming under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 856 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Nand Lal, son of Krishan Lal of Bhagwati Nagar, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 28/2020 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation initiated.
