SAMBA, Dec 24: A drug peddler was arrested and five grams of heroin was recovered from his possession at Sarore area of Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
According to the reports, a patrolling party of Bari Brahmana police intercepted one person from Sarore Adda near Sukhyani Talab, Bari Brahmana who was moving under mysterious circumstances, during his frisking police recovered five grams of heroin from his possession and the accused was arrested on spot along with contraband items.
The accused has been identified as Gulzar Ahmed alias Gaggu Son of Titar Hussain resident of Gijjar Basti Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana.
The whole operation conducts under the overall supervision of SSP Samba. Dr Koushal Sharma and ASP Samba, Faisal Qureshi under the direct supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana Sunil Kesar.
In this regard a case FIR No. 217/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
