SAMBA, Oct 5: Ghagwal Police has arrested one drug peddler in its jurisdiction at National Highway Tapyal, near Ghagwal and recovered two gm of Heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
A police party of Police Station, Ghagwal headed by SHO, Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj while performing vehicle checking at Naka NHW Tapyal, intercepted a pedestrian who tried to run on seeing police party. But alert cops swiftly apprehended him and during his frisking two gms of Heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused person identified as Parveen Kumar, S/o Dev Raj, R/O Kothi Chorli, Tehsil Bishnah, district Jammu has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 90/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started.
