Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, June 9: The sleuths of District Special Branch and Police Station Nowabad arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, the sleuths of District Special Branch and Police Station Nowabad led by SHO Inspector Bimal Indu laid a naka near JP Chowk and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mubarakh Masi, son of Chanchal Masi, a resident of Batala Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 89/19 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
