SAMBA, May 4: Acting sternly against the drug menace and its propagators, District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 16 challies of Charas like substance wrapped in maize cover from his possession in the jurisdiction of PS Bari-Brahmana.
A Police Party of PS Bari-Brahmana led by SHO, Rajesh Sharma while performing vehicle checking under the supervision of SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma near Kala Gate, Industrial and SDPO Bari-Brahmana Nihar Ranjan area, Bari Brahmana, intercepted a Scooty bearing Registration Number JK21C-4883 coming from Smailpur side. During checking of the scooty, 16 challies of Charas like substance wrapped in maize cover were recovered from compartment of the scooty.
The accused person identified as Gafoor Mohammad son of Gh. Qader of Meen Sarkar, Bari Brahmana. He was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 118/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari-Brahman and investigation is started.
