RAMBAN, Jan 14: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 800 grams cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station led by SHO Inspector Vijay Kotwal under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances near Government Middle School Batyari.
During search, police recovered 800 grams cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kewal Singh, son of Angrez Singh of Gam, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 6/2020 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation has been geared up to ascertain the source and other persons involved in smuggling of contraband.
