JAMMU, May 20: The sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau arrested a drug peddler along with contraband of cannabis.
“The NCB team on tip off arrested a person hailing from Brijbehara, Kashmir along with 22.7 kilograms of cannabis”, official spokesman said, adding that the accused was smuggling the consignment in his car, which was intercepted for checking at Ban Toll Plaza, Nagrota.
The contraband was originated from Brijbehara and was to be supplied to Nasik, Maharashtra.
Further investigation is under process to explore linkages between the drug smuggling from Kashmir valley and other States of India.
