RAMBAN, Feb 6: A drug peddler has been arrested along with 250 grams of cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station during patrolling intercepted a person near Jaswal bridge.
During checking, police recovered 250 grams of cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Balveer Chand, son of Prem Chand of Swani, Chanderkote, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 28/19 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the person at Police Station Ramban and investigation started to ascertain the source and other persons involved in smuggling the contraband.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
