RAMBAN, Nov 14: Batote Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, a police team headed by PSI Goutam Choudhary during surprise naka intercepted a Alto car bearing registration number JK19-3691 which was on its way from Batote towards Nashri.
During checking, police team recovered 110 grams cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Mohd Afzal, son of Mohd Latif of Champa Batote District Ramban.
A case FIR Number 200/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Batote Inspector Sam Paul Gill, DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
