RAMBAN, Jan 8: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 200 grams cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near T-Chowk and apprehended a drug peddler along with 200 grams of cannabis.
The arrested person has been identified as Riyaz Ahmed, son of Shamsdin, a resident of Chanderkote, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 5/19 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
