SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Continuing its drive against cross LOC drugs smugglers, Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 800 grams of brown sugar from his possession in Uri area of Baramulla district today.
A Police spokesman said that the said consignment had been smuggled from Pakistan via LOC and the accused Nazir Ahmad Teehkray, a resident of Jabla, Kamalkote Uri, resides in the close vicinity of LOC.
He said in this regard, a case FIR Number 40/2018 under sections of 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Uri and investigation taken up.
