Drug peddler arrested with heroin valuing Rs 5 lakh

UDHAMPUR, June 2: Rehmbal police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 52 grams heroin valuing Rs 5 lakh from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Rehmbal Police Station laid a naka at Flata Chowk and apprehended a drug peddler along with 52 grams heroin valuing Rs 5 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Govind Ram, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Padanoo, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 68/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Rehmbal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Rehmbal Inspector Sanjeev Chib made the arrest under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, DySP Headquarters, Faisal Qureshi Additional SP and SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
