UDHAMPUR, May 29: Continuing its drive against the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Police today arrested a drug peddler from Subash Nagar in Udhampur and seized 6.5 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused, identified as Ranjit Singh, son of Daleep Singh of Subash Nagar, Udhampur was apprehended during a Police naka, led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Vijay Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur.
The suspected person was taken into custody and during his personal search, 6.5 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. In this connection, a case FIR number 244/2019, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur.
