KATRA, Aug 21: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 150 grams of cannabis from his possession.
The accused drug peddler, identified as Ashok Kumar of village Muttal- Chadei, tehsil and District Udhampur, was apprehended during a special naka at Railway Chowk when he was coming towards Bus Stand Katra. 150 grams of cannabis was recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused on the spot and seized the recovered cannabis. A case FIR number 198/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Katra. The arrest was made by SHO Katra, Inspr Pardeep Gupta who was assisted by SI Puran Chand.
