KISHTWAR, Oct 26: Police arrested a drug peddler along with cannabis here today.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Kishtwar Police Station intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstance.
During checking, police recovered 110 grams of cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Khushi Mohammad, a resident of Sirgwari Thakrai.
A case under FIR Number 211/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Ghulam Hussain made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jillani, Incharge DySP Headquarters Manoj Kumar and SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary.
