Drug peddler arrested in Awantipora

SRINAGAR, Oct 24: Police today said it arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said acting on a tip off, a police party arrested a drug peddler identified as Mohammad Maqbool Bhat at Reshipora village of Awantipora and recovered 23 Kilograms of bung choora from his possession.
“A case under FIR number 191/2016 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against him and investigation was taken up,” he said.
